Octoplay only launched in Malta in October 2022, so yes, it is still a newcomer. The Red Tiger influence is hard to miss. Chief executive Carl Ejlertsson came through Red Tiger and Evolution. Gavin Hamilton, the former Red Tiger boss, later joined as chairman. That background probably explains some of the polish. Games run on Octoplay’s own RGS platform, and the catalogue has already pushed past 50 slot and smash-style titles. Some come from its in-house sub-studios, Super Hippo and Penguin King. Licensing is stronger than I would expect this early. Octoplay holds approvals from the Malta Gaming Authority, Ontario, Romania and the UK Gambling Commission. Australia is the catch. There is no Australian licence, so any Octoplay game offered here is offshore and unregulated at this end.
