RTP96.45% normal play, 96.47% on Buy Free Spins, both printed on in-game rules page 6 of 9 (DIRECT). Those are the only two certified modes in the build. Operators can also ship 95.40% or 94.49% (per SlotCatalog, AboutSlots, win.gg and iGamingToday in agreement), a spread of 1.96 percentage points
VolatilityHigh, five lightning bolts out of five, all filled, on Pragmatic’s own badge (DIRECT, rules p6/9). No σ has ever been published for this title, no PAR sheet, no tracked sample. Our own estimate from spec parameters lands near 15 to 20 per A$1 staked, and 15 is the floor, not the middle (ESTIMATED)
Max win12,500× total bet, capped in base game and free spins alike, round ends the moment it is reached (DIRECT, rules p5/9 and p8/9). Re-shot at BET MAX and the figure does not recalculate. Cap odds 1 in 34,482,759 spins from the game’s own server data, which is about 3.9 years of unbroken play at 1,000 spins an hour (DERIVED)
Hit frequency26.95%, one win every 3.71 spins (per SlotCatalog, printed independently by BigWinBoard). Free spins arrive about 1 in 249.48 spins on a natural trigger, and there is no scatter route to them at all
Bet rangeA$0.30 to A$240.00 (DIRECT, rules p6/9). Total bet is BET level × COIN VALUE × 30, and the bet menu says so in its own header, “BET MULTIPLIER 30x”. The 24,000 figure sitting in the game’s server payload is a coin ceiling, not a bet anyone can place
The engine6 reels on screen, 5 rows, but only reels 1 to 5 pay, in a fixed 5×5×3×5×5 shape for 1,875 ways. No tumbles, no cascades, no Megaways, no scatter symbol, no Ante Bet, no side bet. Connect & Collect chains start on reel 1 and grow rightwards through touching symbols into reel 3’s two special positions or into reel 6. Respins and Cash Respins run 3 respins, reset to 3 on every new symbol, and pay the summed screen at the end. Buy Free Spins costs 100× current total bet. Released 9 February 2026

The winning line

The money sits in Connect & Collect chains that make reel 6. Those pay 8.33 to 166.67× total bet. Forget the paytable, where even five flaming bison cough up just 3.33×. The 100× buy is the only guaranteed shot at that contact, so fund five tickets at 500× total bet. Any round over 100× gets banked. Then walk.

Every lever in this pokie, priced

Most Pragmatic ways slots chuck three or four maths changing buttons at the punter. This one gives you exactly one. Honestly, it is close to useless.

LeverDoes it exist? What it is worth
Operator’s RTP buildChosen before you open the game1.96 percentage points (96.45 vs 94.49)

Anything pressed inside a respin roundNo buttons at allnil

The decision sold by the game is worth 0.02 of a point. The one you make before loading it is worth 1.96. That is 98 times more important. Look, over 1,000 spins the same gap in dollars looks like this:

Total betTurnoverCost of the wrong build (1.96 pp)Value of the buy button (0.02 pp)
A$0.30A$300A$5.88A$0.06
A$3.00A$3,000A$58.80A$0.60
A$30.00A$30,000A$588.00A$6.00

Six cents against A$5.88. Sixty cents against A$58.80. Spend thirty seconds on rules page 6 of 9 and you have done more useful work than every tactical thought you will have for the rest of the session. That is the practical read. The top build clips 3.55 cents from every dollar, while the bottom one takes 5.51 cents. No screen button changes either number.

Five flaming bison pay 3.33× your total bet

That is not a typo. It is not some lower tier symbol either. The bison head is the game’s best payer, and five of them is the biggest line hit the reels can spit out. Mind you, it still returns only 100 base bet units, or A$6.00 on the A$1.80 default (DIRECT, rules p1/9). Three of the same symbol pays 20 base bet. On that A$1.80 spin, that is 67 cents.

So the 26.95% hit rate is no grind lane. Sure, something lands every 3.71 spins on average, but most of those hits are worth only a slice of what the spin cost. The counter keeps ticking while the stash bleeds pretty much straight downhill.

Every dollar worth chasing sits in the chain apparatus instead:

Where the chain landsValue in total bet@ A$3.00 total bet
Respin round with no winning connection (consolation)3× to 10×A$9 to A$30
Reel 3’s two special positions1.67× to 16.67×A$5.00 to A$50.00
MINOR (reel 3)16.67×A$50.00
Reel 6, the non-paying prize column8.33× to 166.67×A$25.00 to A$500.00
Cash Respins values, per locked symbol0.33× to 100×A$1.00 to A$300.00
MAJOR on a Mystery Prize reveal133.33×A$400.00
GRAND, or a filled screen in a cash round2,666.67×A$8,000.00

The geometry is the strategy here. A chain must start on reel 1, then keep touching horizontally or vertically until it runs across the screen. Stop at reel 3 and that round tops out at 16.67× total bet. Make reel 6 and the ceiling jumps tenfold. Well, those short chains look busy but pay like wallpaper. The round end consolation only sells the illusion harder, handing over 90, 120, 150 or 300 base bet. In total bet terms, that is 3× to 10× for a round that might have filled half the screen.

Watching reel 3 through the respins is the early clue for whether the session has any legs (per win.gg). To be fair, there is an easier read. Count how many chains actually touch reel 6. If that number is zero, you have spent the session stuck in the cheap half of the game.

Divide by 30, or the producer’s 80,000x will size your session

Pragmatic’s own game page pushes “wins of up to 80,000x”. Rules page 5 of 9 says the round caps at 12,500× bet. Both numbers are correct because they use different units. A punter who grabs the bigger one without checking the maths has, frankly, blown the top prize up by roughly 30 times.

Rules page 6 of 9 says every win is multiplied by bet per way. The bet menu, meanwhile, shows “BET MULTIPLIER 30x”. So the base bet used for nearly every prize on the help screens is simply total bet divided by 30. Look, that means the GRAND at 80,000 base bet is2,666.67× total bet (per BigWinBoard, and win.gg reaches the same 2,666.66× independently). At the A$1.80 default, that meter shows A$4,800. Our own capture confirmed it on screen. It also showed A$5,600 at A$2.10, with A$640,000 sitting at the A$240 ceiling.

Named awardBase bet× total bet@ A$3.00Share of the 12,500× cap
MINOR500 B16.67×A$500.1%
MAJOR4,000 B133.33×A$4001.1%
GRAND80,000 B2,666.67×A$8,00021%
GRAND with the ×2160,000 B5,333.33×A$16,00043%

Read the last column. Even doubled, the biggest named prize in the game still comes in under half the cap. Nothing on the jackpot ladder gets to 12,500× by itself. Honestly, the only way to touch that ceiling is by stacking a Cash Respins screen, and the odds there are 1 in 34,482,759 spins. The same base bet unit setup keeps popping up across this provider’s catalogue, and theWild Skullz strategy docs show it on another grid too. So, well, this looks like a house habit rather than some one off quirk.

Never plan a session around 80,000x. The max win is 12,500× total bet. That’s the figure for this pokie, full stop.

Ridin’ the respin, in three calls

Three. That’s how many decisions the game actually gives you. There is no ante toggle to price and no free spins choice to make. Once a respin round starts, there is no button to press either. The punter is just watching, so all three calls happen before the round gets moving.

Step 1 — Read rules page 6 of 9 before the first A$0.30 goes in

The RTP line changes with the operator’s build, and that screen is the only place the build gets exposed. Mind you, no AU regulator audits these, and no source pins a specific tier to a named operator on this title. That makes the in game screen your entire verification kit.

Action: Open the help menu and go to page 6 of 9. Read the sentence “The theoretical RTP of this game is …”. That same page shows the 5-of-5 volatility badge, plus MINIMUM BET A$0.30 / MAXIMUM BET A$240.00. Takes thirty seconds. Do it before any deposit is staked.

Watch for: 96.45%, 95.40% or 94.49%. Also have a look for Fire Stampede 2 in the lobby. To be fair, that one certifies 96.51% normal, with 96.52% on its buy.

Decision branches: If the page reads 96.45% → set the stake and continue to Step 2., If it reads 95.40% or 94.49% → close it. At A$3 a spin, that build costs A$32 to A$59 more per 1,000 spins for the same game., If Fire Stampede 2 is sitting in the same lobby → the sequel returns 0.06 of a point more, though its ceiling is lower at 8,300×. Staying on Ultimate means paying a bit of return for another 4,200× of headroom. Make that call deliberately., If the feature buy button is missing → the operator’s jurisdiction has blocked it. Step 3 is gone, so you’re left with the 600 spin lane below.

Step 2 — Fund one lane only: 600 spins or five tickets

Free spins account for about 38.7 of the 96.45 points on offer, DERIVED from the 96.47% buy return against the 100× price and the 1-in-249.48 trigger rate. They come from a Connect & Collect chain that reaches reel 6, or you buy them. That’s it. Sure, there is no third path because Ultimate removed the scatter symbol used by its own predecessor.

Action: Pick the lane first, then lock in the coin value and leave it alone. The grind lane costs 600× total bet and gives about a 91% chance of one natural trigger, DERIVED. The buy lane costs 500× total bet for five guaranteed rounds. At A$0.30, you’re looking at A$180 against A$150. At A$3.00, it is A$1,800 against A$1,500.

Watch for: Watch the two pots on the left filling with RESPINS and CASH RESPINS symbols. Really, the other thing that matters is how often a chain gets beyond reel 3.

Decision branches: If the stash is under 500× total bet, drop the coin value until it isn’t. The buy costs 100×. current Total bet sets the price every time you move up the ladder. Look, if the stash covers 600× and the buy button is live, the buy lane is tighter on paper: five certain rounds cost less than taking a 91% shot at one. If bonus funds are involved, check the operator’s max bet clause first. A 100× press at a A$5 capped bet costs A$500, which itself usually blows through the cap, while plenty of books ban feature buys with bonus money outright. If 250 spins go by without a chain touching reel 6, you’ve paid for the cheap half of the game and not much else. Close it at that stake instead of resizing.

Step 3 — Press the 100× buy at the stake you already set

The buy forces the triggering spin to land enough Connect & Collect symbols to reach reel 3’s specials, plus at least one reel 6 position. Reel 6 is then stacked entirely with FREE SPINS discs (DIRECT, rules p5/9). That’s it. No cash value comes guaranteed, and neither does a respin round or jackpot.

Action: Buy at the bet set in Step 2. Never chase it after climbing the ladder. To be fair, the maths gets ugly fast: A$30 at the A$0.30 floor, A$180 at the A$1.80 default, A$300 at A$3.00, A$24,000 at the ceiling. Five tickets is the session cap. Bank any round that clears 100× total bet.

Watch for: The spin count adds together if the chain touches more than one disc, with possible awards of 7, 10, 15, 20 and 25. You also get the 2× total bet trigger pay. That’s a one off, not some multiplier carried into the round. Retriggers have no limit when a chain reaches more FREE SPINS discs.

Decision branches: If a round clears 100× total bet, it’s paid for its own ticket and beaten the average bonus. Bank it and shut the tab. If it lands under 100×, sure, take the next ticket at the same stake, but stop at five. A A$40 return on a A$300 ticket is just the result you got, not a reason to jack up the bet. A MAJOR reveal at 133.33× total bet has repaid the ticket with a third on top, so take it. If the round wanders into Cash Respins and Buffalo Coins start attaching ×2 to ×5, let the thing finish. Then judge the result against the same 100× line. There is nothing to press.

Where the multipliers live, and where punters think they live

Every multiplier here lasts for that round only. Honestly, none of them build up from one round to the next.

MultiplierWhere it existsCarries between spins?
Buffalo Coin ×2 / ×3 / ×4 / ×5Respins and Cash Respins rounds only, applied to cash values already on screenNo
×2 on MINOR / MAJOR / GRANDone Mystery Prize reveal on reel 6No
Free-spins entry pay of 2× total beta flat pay on triggernot a multiplier at all

Each Buffalo Coin pays 1× total bet by itself. Fill the whole screen during a cash round and the GRAND drops. That’s as far as the mechanic goes.

What isn’t in the game is just as important. There is no multiplier in the ordinary base game, no global or progressive multiplier during free spins, and the wild carries no multiplier either. The wild is simply a cowboy hat on reels 2, 3 and 4, substituting for everything except Connect & Collect. Fire Stampede 2did does have multiplier wilds in its free spins. Ultimate doesn’t. So, frankly, any guide banging on about a multiplier that keeps building through the round is talking about the sequel, not this game. Same story with the “MAX WIN” clips floating around on video. The ones that turn up are Fire Stampede 2 at 8,300×, and they prove nothing about this pokie.

What the 96.45% is actually made of

Split the return into two buckets. Free spins account for about 38.7 percentage points. Base game plus Respins, Cash Respins, Super Respins and the random awards make up about 57.8 (DERIVED). Mind you, that second figure is not sixty points of plain line pays, because the respin rounds are base game features fired by the pots and reel 3. The symbol paytable tops out at 3.33× bet. It’s a thin slice of an already thin slice.

Now price the wait. A natural trigger averages 1 in 249.48 spins. At the A$0.30 floor, turnover between features comes to A$74.84. It is A$449 at the A$1.80 default and A$748 at A$3.00. Mind you, the median wait from that same rate is only 173 spins, not 249. That is the geometric distribution doing its thing, with 63% of punters seeing a trigger inside 250 spins and 91% inside 600.

Buy economics and grind economics are basically level once you price them per unit staked. A A$300 buy at A$3.00 returns 96.47% on average, leaving an expected loss of 3.53× total bet, or A$10.59. Put the same A$300 through 100 ordinary spins and the expected loss is 3.55× total bet, or A$10.65. Honestly, the button saves about four cents on that turnover. What changes is the shape of the punt. It crushes 250 spins of waiting into one event, while guaranteeing the reel 6 contact the grind lane cannot.

Variance is where the hedging belongs. There is no published σ for this title. Our estimate from the spec parameters lands near 15 to 20 per A$1 staked, and that is ESTIMATED, not measured. Around the middle of that band, 600 spins at A$3.00 carries a swing of roughly A$1,250 against an expected loss near A$64. That is why a 500× or 600× lane budget matters. A stop loss expressed as a percentage of it does not. Two caveats are worth keeping in view. The server payload contains three cash and money values the rules pages never print, 420, 480 and 600 base bet, probably free spins variants, but nothing in this plan relies on them. There is also no community sample, tracked RTP or session log for this game anywhere. Every figure above therefore comes from the in game rules, the game’s own server data or arithmetic built from those sources.

Reading errors that cost real money here

  1. Sizing a session off 80,000x. The producer’s page prints it, the Mystery Prize list prints it, and it is a base-bet figure worth 2,666.67× total bet, about 21% of the real 12,500× cap. Plan around it and the top prize has been overstated by 30 times.
  2. Waiting out a weak bonus for the multiplier to build. There is no multiplier ladder in this game. Every extra spin spent waiting is turnover at 3.55 cents in the dollar for a mechanic that was removed after Fire Stampede 2.
  3. Buying after climbing the bet ladder through a dry stretch. The price is 100× current total bet, so the same 96.47% return costs A$30 at the floor, A$300 at A$3.00 and A$24,000 at the ceiling. Nothing about the round improves with the ticket price.
  4. Counting the respin consolation as a win. A round that ends with no winning connection pays 3×, 4×, 5× or 10× total bet. On a A$300 ticket that is A$9 to A$30 back, and it usually arrives after a screen that looked like it was building something.
  5. Hunting for the ante toggle. There isn’t one. Punters who go looking often max-bet instead, which changes the trigger rate not at all, and multiplies the cost of the same 1-in-249.48 wait by up to 800.
  6. Clipping reel 3 and calling it progress. Reel 3’s positions top out at 16.67× total bet, reel 6 at 166.67×. Chains that never span the grid are the cheap half of the game running on repeat.
  7. Staking real money without opening page 6 of 9. At A$3 a spin the wrong build costs A$58.80 per 1,000 spins, which is more than the entire buy button is worth across a hundred sessions.

When the chain stops being worth funding

Lane budget, and one lane only: 600× total bet for the spin lane. For a five ticket buy lane, 500×. That means A$180 or A$150 at the A$0.30 floor. Look, there are no reloads here. Do not switch lanes halfway through the session, and do not start climbing the stake while the buy price climbs with it.

Reel-6 drought: 250 spins with no chain reaching reel 6 and the session is done at that stake. The far column is where 8.33 to 166.67× lives. A session that never gets there has spent the bankroll on scenery, frankly.

Consolation count: Three respin rounds resolving on the 90 to 300 base bet consolation means 3× to 10× total bet. If the chains still are not connecting, close it. Simple.

Ticket cap: five buys, then stop, whatever the last one did.

The repay line: Any round clearing 100× total bet has beaten the average bonus and paid for its own ticket, so bank it. Of course, a MAJOR at 133.33× ends the session immediately. A GRAND at 2,666.67× does the same.

Autoplay setting: Leave SKIP SCREENS off. It strips out the feature intros, and on this pokie those are the only screens telling you what the round is actually doing. Sure, you can save a few seconds, but then a 600 spin lane turns into an unwatched clock.

If the plan reads as too expensive for the ceiling: Buffalo Trail Runs a larger 14,217× cap and has no buy button at all. The whole 100× conversation disappears. Sacred Buffalo drops to Medium-High variance on a cheaper 75× ticket; and Buffalo King Untamed Megaways Trades the fixed 1,875 ways for a variable Megaways count under a 10,000× ceiling. All three are already on the site. To be fair, none makes a punter learn a base bet unit before they can even read the paytable.

One last note on where this pokie can be played. Pragmatic Play and Wild Streak Gaming hold no Australian licence. The Interactive Gambling Act 2001 prohibits supplying these games to Australian residents rather than playing them, while no source names an AU facing operator running any specific RTP tier on this title. Which is exactly why Step 1 stays first.

  • Pays are quoted in base bet units, which is how the game itself prints them. One base bet is the total bet divided by 30, because the bet menu is headed BET MULTIPLIER 30x and rules page 6 of 9 reads “All wins are multiplied by bet per way”.
  • The flaming bison is the only symbol that pays from two of a kind. Everything else needs three.
  • WILD, a horned cowboy hat. It lands on reels 2, 3 and 4 only, substitutes for everything except CONNECT AND COLLECT, and carries no multiplier of any kind.
  • CONNECT AND COLLECT, a disc of linked orbs. It lands on any ordinary position across reels 1 to 5 and builds the chain that the whole game runs on.
  • There is no scatter symbol. The original Fire Stampede had a sheriff-star scatter and this build deleted it, so free spins can only be reached through a chain or through the buy.
  • MONEY VALUE, a red coin. It sits on reel 3’s two special positions and on reel 6, and it carries two different value sets depending on which of those it lands in.
  • RESPINS in green and CASH RESPINS in purple both sit on reel 3’s special positions only. Each starts a three-respin sticky round.
  • MINOR, a small gold disc on reel 3’s special positions, pays 500 base bet, which is 16.67× the total bet.
  • FREE SPINS, ADD WILDS, STAMPEDE and MYSTERY PRIZE live on reel 6 and never pay a line win. Our own capture also found FREE SPINS and ADD WILDS discs sitting in reel 3’s lower special position, which matches the rules wording that each is awarded whenever a connection chain reaches it, with no reel named.
  • BUFFALO COIN, a small gold medallion, only appears inside a respin round.
  • Every special symbol on reel 6 sits inside a nailed wooden plaque, wanted-poster style, and the GRAND, MAJOR and MINOR meters sit in a brass cabinet frame at the top left. The whole presentation copies a Vegas-floor buffalo machine, and Australian punters will recognise the cabinet before they recognise the maths.

Game rules

Base game

Six columns show up, but only five can pay. Reels 1, 2, 4 and 5 stand five symbols high. Reel 3 is shorter at three, with a special position sitting above it plus another underneath, while reel 6 is purely a prize column packed with special symbols. That setup locks the game at 1,875 fixed ways. It does not move.

  • 5×5×3×5×5 is 1,875 ways, left to right on adjacent reels, starting from the leftmost reel.
  • Highest win only per way. Wins on separate ways are added together.
  • No tumbles, no cascades, no expanding reels, no Megaways. A spin resolves once and pays once.
  • Reel 6 never forms part of a paying combination. It only holds prizes for a chain to reach.
  • At random, extra WILD, CONNECT AND COLLECT or top-paying symbols can be dropped onto random ordinary positions.
  • There are no multipliers in ordinary base-game play at all.

Connect and Collect

This is where the game actually happens. CONNECT AND COLLECT chains must begin on reel 1, then crawl right through symbols touching horizontally or vertically. No special position at the end, no pay. There are two possible targets, and honestly, the difference in value between them is massive.

  • Rules page 2 of 9, verbatim: “Hit adjacent CONNECT & COLLECT symbols, from left to right, starting from the leftmost reel, touching each other horizontally or vertically, until the chain of symbols reaches one of the special positions on reel 3 or reel 6 to win the award from the reached special position.”
  • Reel 3’s two special positions are the near target. Money values there run 50 to 500 base bet, which is 1.67× to 16.67× the total bet.
  • Reel 6 is the far target and needs a chain that spans the full width of the grid. Money values there run 250 to 5,000 base bet, which is 8.33× to 166.67× the total bet.
  • A chain can reach more than one special position in a single spin, and every position it touches is collected.
  • WILD does not substitute for CONNECT AND COLLECT, so a chain cannot be bridged by a wild.
  • A chain that fails to reach any special position pays nothing.

Respins and Cash Respins

Both rounds are the hold and win side of the pokie, but the sticky symbols do not behave like loose coins scattered anywhere. They are linked into chains, so position matters just as much as quantity. RESPINS settles the connected chains once the round ends. CASH RESPINS, meanwhile, pays whatever values are printed on the symbols.

  • Either round starts with three respins. Every CONNECT AND COLLECT symbol from the triggering spin locks in place and all other positions on reels 1 to 5 respin.
  • Any new CONNECT AND COLLECT symbol resets the counter back to three respins and locks in place for the rest of the round.
  • RESPINS pays for all connections once the round ends. With no winning connection at all, the consolation is a random 90, 120, 150 or 300 base bet, which is 3×, 4×, 5× or 10× the total bet.
  • CASH RESPINS gives every locked CONNECT AND COLLECT symbol a cash value, and every fresh one arrives carrying its own. At the end of the round all values on screen are added together and paid.
  • Cash respin values run 10, 20, 30, 60, 90, 120, 150, 300, 450, 600, 1,500 or 3,000 base bet, which is 0.33× to 100× the total bet each.
  • BUFFALO COIN can land during either round. Each one pays 1× the total bet, and it hands random ×2, ×3, ×4 or ×5 multipliers to random values already on screen.
  • Filling the whole screen in a cash round awards the GRAND at 80,000 base bet, which is 2,666.67× the total bet.
  • Both round types are fed by two pots drawn on the left of the screen. Every RESPINS or CASH RESPINS symbol that lands is collected into a pot, and either round, or both together, can then fire at random.

Super Respins

When RESPINS and CASH RESPINS both hit on the same spin, the two merge. The round runs on cash respin rules and also pays out the reel 6 values that any chain manages to reach, which is the only way to collect both kinds of money in a single round.

  • Triggered by RESPINS and CASH RESPINS landing at the same time.
  • The round plays as a CASH RESPINS round, and at the end, reel 6 values connected to CONNECT AND COLLECT symbols are also awarded.
  • A plain RESPINS round upgrades to SUPER RESPINS mid-round if a chain connects to a special position holding a CASH RESPINS symbol, and the upgrade holds from that spin onwards.

Free spins

There is no scatter shortcut into this thing. To trigger it, a chain must reach a FREE SPINS disc. Usually that disc sits on reel 6, which means stretching all the way across the screen, though we also captured one in reel 3’s lower special, which is a much shorter reach. The number of spins then comes down to which discs were touched, and the counts add up rather than replacing each other.

  • Trigger pays 2× the total bet on top of the spins awarded.
  • Reel 6 FREE SPINS discs carry 7, 10, 15, 20 or 25 spins at random.
  • A single chain can touch more than one disc, and the round opens with the total of every disc it reached, so an opening count above 25 is possible.
  • Retriggers work the same way and are not capped in the rules. More discs reached during the round add their totals.
  • Special reels are in play during the feature, on a night-time background, and the producer does not publish the feature strips.
  • The CONNECT AND COLLECT feature works exactly as it does in the base game.
  • There is no global multiplier, no accumulating ladder and no multiplier wild in this round.

Bonus buy

One purchase. One price. What you are buying is a guaranteed chain, not a guaranteed result. The trigger spin is set up to reach reel 3 as well as reel 6, and for that spin reel 6 contains nothing except FREE SPINS discs.

  • Price is 100× the current total bet. That is A$180 at the A$1.80 default and A$24,000 at the A$240 ceiling.
  • Confirmed on screen at the default bet, where the confirm dialog read A$180 and the balance debited by exactly A$180.
  • Certified RTP with the buy is 96.47%, against 96.45% in normal play. That is two hundredths of a percentage point.
  • The triggering spin is guaranteed to hit enough CONNECT AND COLLECT symbols to form a chain reaching the special positions on reel 3 and at least one position on reel 6.
  • It guarantees no cash value, no respin round and no jackpot award. Only the entry.
  • The price tracks the current total bet, so a punter who climbed the bet ladder during a dry stretch pays proportionally more for the same 96.47%.

Max-win cap

The cap appears twice in the rules, on page 5 of 9 and again on page 8 of 9. Mind you, it was also checked again at BET MAX to make sure the figure does not recalculate. There is only one betting mode here, so the cap stays at one number.

  • 12,500× total bet, in both the base game and free spins.
  • Verbatim: “If the total win of a round reaches 12,500x bet the round immediately ends, win is awarded and all remaining free spins are forfeited.”
  • At the A$240 ceiling that is A$3,000,000.
  • Odds of reaching it are 1 in 34,482,759 spins, per the game’s own server data.
  • The biggest single named prize in the game, a doubled GRAND at 5,333.33× the total bet, is only 43% of the cap. Nothing gets there on one reveal.

The 80,000 that is not a max win

The producer’s own page pushes “wins of up to 80,000x”, and the jackpot ladder inside the game shows the same figure. Look, that is not the max win. It is nowhere near it. The unit being used is what creates the gap.

FigureIn base betIn total betAt an A$1.80 spinAt the A$240 ceiling

Win cap375,00012,500×A$22,500A$3,000,000
  • The bet menu is headed BET MULTIPLIER 30x and total bet is BET level × COIN VALUE × 30. One base bet is therefore a thirtieth of what a spin costs.
  • Divide 80,000 by 30 and the GRAND comes out at 2,666.67× the total bet, which is 21% of the game’s own 12,500× cap. A punter sizing a session around “one GRAND is 80,000 times my stake” has overestimated it by thirty times.
  • The game proves the conversion against itself. MYSTERY awards are listed on rules page 3 of 9 as 10×, 14×, 16× and 20× total bet, and the same four prizes appear on page 4 of 9 as 300, 420, 480 and 600 base bet. Every pair divides by exactly 30.
  • Verified live at three stakes. At A$1.80, A$2.10 and A$240 the on-screen GRAND meter read A$4,800, A$5,600 and A$640,000, which is 80,000 base bets each time.
  • This is the rare case where the misleading figure comes from the producer rather than from an aggregator, so checking the source does not help. Only the division does.
  • The rules pages are not inflated, contrary to one aggregator’s gloss. They are simply quoted in two units, and they switch between the two inside the same paragraph.

The paytable is close to decoration

Five flaming bison across the grid produce the best single line hit available, yet it pays just 3.33× the total bet. That figure is correct. Really, it tells you straight away that the serious money in this pokie is sitting somewhere else.

What landsValue in total bet
Five flaming bison, the best symbol hit in the game3.33×
Five gold-nugget piles1.33×
Five of any card royal0.33× to 0.67×
Chain reaching a reel 3 special position1.67× to 16.67×
Chain reaching reel 68.33× to 166.67×
One cash respin symbol at the top of its set100×
  • A hit frequency of 26.95% sounds generous until the ceiling on those hits is 3.33× the stake. Roughly one spin in four returns something, and most of those somethings are a fraction of what the spin cost. That is a slow bleed, not a grind.
  • Reaching reel 3 feels like progress and pays like small change. The full-width chain to reel 6 is worth up to twenty times more, and only that chain reaches the free spins discs.
  • Around 40% of the game’s 96.45% sits behind the free spins round, which arrives about once in 249.48 spins on its own. The rest is mostly respin and cash respin money, not line pays.
  • The pure symbol paytable accounts for only a small slice of the return. Anyone quitting at 100 spins because the reels look dead has been playing the thin half of the game the whole time.

Built from game one, not from game two

There are three older games in this line, so you’d think the name means this release builds on the latest one. It does not. A comparison of the server payloads across all four shows this is the 2023 original rebuilt with different maths added, rather than a true step forward from the 2025 sequel.

  • Inherited from the first game word for word: the whole coin paytable, the 500, 4,000 and 80,000 jackpot ladder, the free spin set of 7, 10, 15, 20 and 25, the wild rule, the 100× buy price and four paragraphs of rules text.
  • Not inherited from the second game, which pays its A symbol differently and runs a 625, 5,000 and 100,000 ladder.
  • Genuinely new: all nine reel strips, the bet multiplier moving from 20 to 30, the cap going from 4,275× to 12,500×, the deletion of the scatter symbol, and the whole Cash Respins, Super Respins, Buffalo Coin, Mystery and Stampede catalogue, plus the ×2 jackpot tier.
  • On certified return this is not the best game in its own family. Fire Stampede 2 runs 96.51% and 96.52%, six hundredths of a point above this one, on both normal play and the buy.
  • The ceiling is the trade. Ultimate carries a 12,500× cap against 8,300× on game two, so what the badge buys is a taller tail on a slightly thinner return.
  • Neither Fire Stampede nor Fire Stampede 2 is published on this site yet, so both are plain-text mentions here.

RTP versions

Three builds of this pokie are shipped, and casinos decide which version they plug in. Frankly, that choice matters roughly a hundred times more than anything the punter can decide once the reels start spinning.

BuildStatusAU-facing casinosNotes
96.45%Top build, and the one our own AUD demo ranNone confirmedFour independent databases print this triplet
95.4%Mid buildNone confirmedNo source names an operator running it
94.49%Bottom buildNone confirmedNo source names an operator running it
  • The spread from top to bottom is 1.96 percentage points, or about A$2 more of the cut on every A$100 staked.
  • The only choice available inside the game, spinning against buying, moves the certified figure by 0.02 of a point. The operator’s build choice is 98 times more consequential than that.
  • The check takes seconds. Open the in-game rules, go to page 6 of 9, and read the line beginning “The theoretical RTP of this game is”. The number changes with the build.
  • No source names any operator against any build for this title, so no tier list can be given here.

Where the multipliers live

Multipliers only turn up in two spots here, both during respins. Neither stacks, either. Nothing carries from one spin to the next.

  • BUFFALO COIN hands out random ×2, ×3, ×4 or ×5 to random on-screen values during a Respins or Cash Respins round. Each coin also pays 1× the total bet on its own, multiplied by whatever it happens to carry.
  • Those multipliers are applied to the values they land on and are gone when the round ends. There is no running total and no ladder.
  • MINOR, MAJOR and GRAND can hit with a ×2 on a MYSTERY PRIZE reveal from reel 6. That is a single roll per reveal, not a build.
  • The 2× total bet paid on a free spins trigger is a one-off cash pay, not a multiplier applied to anything that follows.
  • There is no multiplier of any kind in ordinary base-game play, and no global multiplier during free spins.
  • Fire Stampede 2 did have multiplier wilds in its free spins. This game does not. Any guide describing a growing multiplier here is describing the previous title.

Volatility distribution

Every bolt on the badge is filled, yet the label still says High. Mind you, that is Pragmatic’s own wording, not some reviewer’s take.

  • Badge on rules page 6 of 9 and on the splash screen: five lightning bolts, all five filled. Caption verbatim: “High volatility games pay out less often on average but the chance to hit big wins in a short time span is higher”.
  • Hit frequency 26.95%, about 1 in 3.71 spins. Free spins about 1 in 249.48 on a natural trigger. Top prize 1 in 34,482,759.
  • No standard deviation has been published for this title, no par sheet has surfaced and no tracked community sample exists. Our own estimate from the spec parameters lands near 15 to 20 per unit staked, and it is an estimate, not a measurement.
  • A more useful mental model than any sigma: variance here is almost binary on whether a chain reaches a special position, because the line paytable tops out at 3.33× the stake and cannot produce a big result on its own.
  • Derived from the published trigger rate rather than measured, the median wait to a natural free spins round is about 173 spins, while the mean is 249.48. Half of all rounds arrive before the average does.
  • No community-tracked RTP, no session logs and no bonus payout distribution exist for this game. It is roughly six months old and nobody has published a sample.

AU availability and the offshore build check

Pragmatic Play and Wild Streak Gaming have no Australian licence, so this pokie is offshore only. That is exactly why checking the build matters so much here.

  • Under the Interactive Gambling Act 2001 the offence of supplying online casino games to Australian residents sits with the operator, not the player.
  • No AU-facing casino has been confirmed running this specific title against a named RTP build. The market databases that track it list Canada, New Zealand, Finland and Austria, and do not cover Australia at all.
  • The free demo gateway resolved in AUD with no jurisdiction wall, with the bet ladder rendering in A$ and the balance in A$.
  • With no Australian regulator auditing offshore builds, rules page 6 of 9 is the only verification available before a real-money session.
  • AU-facing offshore books commonly cap the stake per spin while bonus funds are live, usually in the A$5 to A$10 band. At an A$5 cap the 100× buy costs A$500, which usually breaches the same clause it was bought under.
  • Bans on feature buys while a deposit bonus is active are a common clause too, and with roughly 40% of the return sitting behind free spins, that clause changes the game rather than trims it. Check the terms per casino.
  • Autoplay offers a SKIP SCREENS option, which removes the feature intro pauses. On a game where the interesting events are exactly those screens, that is a pacing risk worth knowing about.

Bison slots already on this site

Three buffalo titles are already published here. None uses a chain collect engine, and honestly, that is the comparison that matters.

TitleMax winWhere it differs
Buffalo Trail14,217×Gamebeat, 96.14%, 4,096 ways and no bonus buy at all. A taller ceiling for anyone who refuses to pay 100× for an entry
Sacred Buffalo8,000×Booming Games, 95.6%, medium-high volatility and a cheaper 75× buy. The gentler option, on a much lower ceiling
Buffalo King Untamed Megaways10,000×Same producer, 96.02%, and a variable Megaways ways-count instead of a fixed 1,875. Not the same engine despite the shared animal
  • The separator here is not the animal, it is the economics. In the three titles above the money comes out of symbol combinations. In this one the symbol paytable tops out at 3.33× the stake and everything real comes out of chain geometry.
  • The ways-count is fixed at 1,875 and never varies. This is not a Megaways game and it has no BTG licence.
  • Fifty-seven published slots on this site carry the hold-and-win tag. What is unusual here is that the sticky symbols are chain-linked rather than free-floating coins, so their positions matter, not just their count.

Why the published figures disagree

Most write ups on this title get something basic wrong. It is usually the wrong unit or the wrong game, with typos mixed in too, and every claim can be checked.

  • Several aggregators call it “6 reels, 5 rows, 1,875 paylines”. The rules say ways, not paylines, and reel 6 is not a paying reel. The paying shape is 5×5×3×5×5.
  • One review site dates the release to 9 February 2025. That is a year typo. The game post-dates Fire Stampede 2, which shipped in August 2025, so 2025 is impossible. Four other sources print 9 February 2026.
  • The big-win clips circulating on video sites are Fire Stampede 2 footage, not this game. Their numbers do not transfer.
  • The original Fire Stampede quotes its money values in total bet and this one quotes them in base bet. Comparing the two prize tables without converting makes it look like the prizes were cut thirty times over. They were not, but the GRAND genuinely did fall from 4,000× to 2,666.67× the total bet, because the bet multiplier went from 20 to 30 while the coin figure stayed at 80,000.
  • The server payload carries a total_bet_max of 24,000. That is an internal coin ceiling, not a bet anyone can place. Maximum bet is A$240, read off rules page 6 of 9 at BET MAX.
  • The payload also carries three prize values the rules never print, at 420, 480 and 600 base bet. They are probably free-spins variants and no claim here is built on them.
  • One summarised feature list describes the free spins as carrying a “2x bet multiplier”. The 2× is a one-off cash pay on the trigger and it multiplies nothing.

FAQ

Q: Is the max win 80,000× or 12,500×? A: Straight up, 12,500× the total bet. That 80,000 number is quoted in base bet, which is a thirtieth of a spin. So, really, it comes to 2,666.67× what the punter actually stakes.

Q: Does Fire Stampede Ultimate have an Ante Bet? A: No. No side bet either. You get one bet mode, plus one MIN and MAX pair on rules page 6 of 9. There are two certified RTP figures. Max betting does nothing to the trigger odds.

Q: Is this the highest-RTP game in the series? A: Not quite. Fire Stampede 2 certifies at 96.51% and 96.52%, while this one sits at 96.45% and 96.47%. To be fair, the trade is a taller ceiling, 12,500× against 8,300×, not a stronger return.

Q: Do multipliers build up during free spins? A: Short answer: no. There is no ladder anywhere in this pokie. Buffalo Coin multipliers only show up in respin rounds. They apply to whatever values they land on, then disappear when the round ends.

Q: What does the 100× bonus buy actually guarantee? A: An entry, nothing more. The trigger spin has to reach reel 3 and at least one reel 6 position. Well, reel 6 only carries free spins discs on that spin, but no cash value is guaranteed.

Q: Is the buy worth it against spinning for the trigger? A: On the cut, they are effectively the same bet. 96.47% against 96.45% is only two hundredths of a point. What A$180 buys at the default stake, frankly, is less waiting. It does not buy an edge.

Q: How do I check which RTP build a casino runs? A: Look, open the in game rules and go straight to page 6 of 9. It shows the exact build in use. The three versions are 96.45%, 95.4% and 94.49%, with the operator’s pick printed there.

Q: Are there free spins without a Connect and Collect chain? A: Not one. The scatter from the original game is gone. A chain now has to make it all the way to a free spins disc on reel 6, unless the buy gets you there instead.

Q: What does five bison actually pay? A: 3.33× the total bet. That’s the biggest line hit available, and honestly, the paytable barely matters here. The real money comes from keeping the chain alive.

Q: Can Australians play it? A: No Australian licence exists for this producer, so you’re dealing with offshore books. Under the Interactive Gambling Act 2001, the supply offence lands on the operator rather than the punter.
